I bought an apple and they sent me an orange...

I bought a white Maserati cap with Maserati Corsa logo from Exoticar Model Co. and they sent me a completely different item. Those guys are complete f-----g jokes.

First, I bought the cap in April and I waited for a month. Not even an email from them for a month.

Finally I got tired of waiting and wrote an email to them and they said "Item was out of stock and is now coming in".

Well, I finally got the package and they sent me a complete different item, and tells me that they sent me different item, since what I've ordered is not available.

Sorry to hear. I have bought from Exoticar several times, mostly without any issues. However I too have had problems with them sending me the wrong product, or not sending me anything at all for months. One time, when I called customer service to inquire (nicely) about the product I had been waiting for, they immediately sent it out to me for free.

When I used to live in NYC, I would go to the Exoticar that was in midtown (before they went out of business). In speaking to the store managers, I learnt that there were serious problems with upper management. The employee turnaround was incredible, and there were issues with employees not receiving paychecks on time. To say that they were disgruntled is an understatement.

I have also visited the West Palm Beach location (again, before they went out of business), and I found very little consistency in pricing between the brick & mortar stores, and their website. I would also attempt to purchase a product at the store, only for the clerks to throw an arbitrary price at me, then proceed to try to negotiate with me. I have also seen scale models that were broken, and poorly glued back together, that were sitting on the floor listed at full price.

All-in-all, I'm amazed that they remain in business. I'm guessing that their business model was far too ambitious. Flagship stores in the locations that they had were unlikely to be profitable, and coupled with seemingly poor management would seem to spell certain death to the business, yet they seem to be clinging on.

They are having trouble staying in business.

They left Beverly Hills in a hurry.

exoticar is only good for their catalog, only bought 1 item from them LOL

and since you are buying a maserati cap, i take it that you have gotten your Maserati already???

bought my Maserati cap from BH masi/ferrari
