My car wasn't scheduled for production until November. I got an email from my salesman yesterday with a real live VIN. Apparently the factory is ahead of schedule???

This means I should have my car by Christmas. Happy, happy, joy, joy.

I was told some point in November. They really couldn't narrow it down for me. I was all set for the wait, so this was truly a wonderful surprise.

I wonder how well it will handle the snow...;) At least you'll have time to properly prep the paint come spring.

I woudn't put too much into getting a VIN number. The factory may be able to give you a VIN based on expected production, not what they are actually working on. Once you get "in-port" date you may begin to celebate. Then you have the "It's here!" phone call to wait for and then let the driving begin!

I don't have the full VIN, just the last five digits: 30894
That's the serial number portion of the VIN. You call will be number 894 off the assembly line...
