I opened this thread for whatever someone could imagine in a Lotus, a car that could be built by Lotus, a car with a conversion that hasn't been done, anything that's technically possible and realistic. It doesn't matter what kind of work would have to go into making it happen or how much it costs, your imagination is the limit . Just please don't strap rockets on a lotus and make it fly to the moon. For example, putting in a Lamborghini V12 into an Exige or 2-11 ( it did happen for an F1 Car though). Or your dream modified Lotus that you have yet to have . In all honesty I'm not sure if a thread like this exists already but, here it is.

I'll start one off, an all-wheel drive exige, some sort of group b car

Nice........ I can only draw

Lol. I can't even do that?

The pic is from the Factory Five 818 project. It was submitted as a possible design. In my opinion, by far the best submission, but apparently too involved for the scope of the project.
Not inspired by their final design. I would have placed an order ASAP if the yellow/green rendering above had won out. It uses a WRX powertrain/driveline, which has virtually limitless modification options.

I can think of all sorts of crazy "possible" swaps - after all, there are Euro Audi swaps, V10/V12 swaps, the Tesla Roadster, and the Hennessy Venom, all based on the Elise chassis.

From the factory, though, I really think the Elise/Exige with a ~210hp NA K20 as a base and a 280-300hp high-end factory turbocharged option (vs. the S260) would have been even more of a game-changing car.

Between the cheap aftermarket, the few more horsepower, and the more-solid transmission, the NA car could have been driven off the lot with dealer tags, driven competitively at an event, then upgraded for $10-$20k and reliably driven at the highest unlimited/1/insanity levels of club racing. The car with the 2ZZ is *so close* and the K would have really taken it to another level IMO.

A late 98s Gt1 styled 340R like the 911 GT1, or Ts020. I know the elise Gt1 was a car built for that class, but the chassis and aero couldn't compete. Or maybe a v6 exige with a similar orientation as the f1 14' turbo cars. Or with a v6 that sounds like the alpine 110-50. What do you think?
