Wow... I think I might have saw your car a few weeks ago going north on Monte Vista.

I cannot make it, got to attend to my means of pay for the car & everything else in the morning...(aka job)

I can't do a weekday.

I'm itching to get out on one of these drives though.

I will be very interested in hearing your comments after the drive. Let us know what kind of condition that road is in, as I haven't been on it in quite a while. It can get covered with dirt and rocks in places, which can be an issue. It is an incredibly tight road, perfect for Loti!

Good luck and have fun!

Josh and Gonzalo, it was wonderful to meet you guys (and the deers) today!

Josh, thank you for the lunch today! The wood fire pizza at Luigi Ortega's was the BEST pizza I've ever had!!!

Gonzalo, let me know if you can send me the video of the deers, and also me "almost" losing control towards the end. :)

So, how was the drive on that crazy road?
Rob, hope to see you at the next one!!!

To sum up the today's run:

1) scared deers,
2) me "almost" losing control...,
3) AMAZING food,
4) disco-lights in the bathroom. :)

I hope to make the next one too. I also came quite close to losing control on that road in my 3rd Gen RX-7. Ya gots to be careful!

What was the condition of the road? Were there lots of pepples/rocks/dirt on it?

There were some rocks and some dirt... and DEERS! :D Since it was during weekday, there were no people on motorcycles, but some people on the bicycles.

I almost lost control on a patch of dirt. When I hit the dirt patch, I couldn't steer or break....

See you at the next one!

Looks like you guys had an awesome run!

Were you guys able to go through the "summit" (intersection of Ridge, and Glendora Mountain Road) and down via GMR to Glendora? I usually run that road (albeit at night) but it has been closed due to fire danger for the past week. Been itching to go again :)

I'd be down to join you guys for the next one :)

Gonzalo, Thanks for the video!!!:up:

"1:45" mark is where I almost lose control and scare the two people on the side of the road with bicycles. :D

Cool.

That video gives everyone a chance to see what the Glendora Ridge Canyon Road is all about.

Very tight turns. You rarely get out of second gear.

You have to pay attention 100% of the time. It isn't for the faint of heart!

How did you guys do with the brakes? Did they overheat, or did you avoid the temptation to overuse them?
