Looks like it's a non-sc Elise?

Sounds just like a base car with zero options.

Can you get it with the AC delete? If not, then it's not the "purest" Elise you can get. ;)

Sounds to me like the marketing department is masking the sales department's move to lower the price on a base Elise without looking like it. :D

Nothing but good news for those looking for a base car new.

And yes, pics. :)

its required/mandated for sale in the US

"The "purist" comes with everything that's in the ($1600 touring package) apart from i-pod interface, leather trimmed transmission tunnel area and door inserts. It has the same Probax leather seats, same Momo leather wrapped wheel....It's a real deal at $43,995 compared to a regular 2009Elise base which is $47,250 and then add $1600 for touring pack. $48,850 !"

at a base price... not too bad for someone who wants a new 190 elise, actually. 44k msrp, take a couple grand off and youre looking at a brand new elise with some options for around 42k

Purist would be ac delete, sport wheels, no insulation, no tour pack. So this is just another gimmick imo

Hmmm... really sounds like just a price drop to me, which is great. Perhaps to compensate for the strength of the dollar against the pound? That was grounds to raise the base MSRP at least once before. I've been wondering if they'd adjust for that. I think the original MSRP was 40, then up to 43 in 06, then 46 or 47 in 07?

Also worthy of note is that Saffron (my favorite!) is finally back after only being available in 05 (and on the 06 Lotus Sport elise).

Or maybe this is now the "base" and there is new stuff coming out for 10?

High Intensity (Discharge) Lights? Really?
"• High intensity projection beam headlamps"

Not HIDs. Just highlighting that they shine through "projector beam" optics, rather than cheaper parabolic bowl reflectors.
