Reasons I should have bought integrated LED fixtures instead of retrofitting LED tubes into old T8 fluorescent tube fixtures:
1: It would have been just as much work and cost about the same
2: The led tube won’t fall on your car and put a gouge in the paint.

Mainly just reason 2. Solution: zip ties to hold the bulbs into the fixture. And a paint pen, I guess. Bummer. Clearly not a garage mahal, but seemed like the most appropriate place.

Best friend Toyota engineer told me years ago that shop now install tube light at a 45 d angle where wall & ceiling meet.

Much better and vastly fewer shadows and unlit areas.

I remember you posting this way back and we followed your advice when building the garage (although we added lights down the center too). The 45 degree lights worked out great.
