Daily Kos: State of the Nation

Take it for what it's worth.

If proven true, the media and Dems will have a field day.

The comments reveal better analysis than the article writer.

If you're relying on the basement dwellers for your news.. there is no way to help you..

That is one of the most disgusting fabrications I have ever seen in politics. This guy bases his allegations on a few public photos of her with absolutely no proof. Shows you the depths to which the left wing nutjobs that back Obama will go to.

Qball: You should be ashamed of yourself for passing along those kind of outright lies and smears. It undercuts all of the arguments that support the Democrats.

The most entertaining part is the comments. All the uber-conservatives accusing the liberals of Invasion of Privacy...

I guess they forgot about the wire-tapping authorized by the current administration.

And get your facts straight, before you get your panties all in a wad... I never said I thought it was true, or it IS true... I said it's an interesting read.

BS. You are spreading the vilest of lies and falsehoods and you have no ethical problems doing so.

On the other hand, I really hope you spread this manure across the internet because it will come back and bite your candidate in the ass in the strongest way. Obama got his start with strong support from Kos, and it will only highlight how wacked-out and delusional Obama's core supporters are.

Holy baby jesus! The only person who appears crazy right now is you... Wake up, this is America both sides do this crap all day long. Getting all high and mighty when the other side does it is going to get you exactly nowhere, especially when you try to use it to discredit the candidate of the other side. Good luck with that sense of righteous indignation though.

I hope you were just as worked up about that earlier thread where right-wing nut jobs tried (in the comments section of the original site) to spread the falsehood that Barack Obama isn't a native-born American and, thus, ineligible to run for President.

http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f68/obama-sued-60978/

The vast majority of us in the moderate middle see no reason to get worked up about Sarah Palin's private life. Some of us are concerned about her beliefs and policies, though.

The best thing about the "internets" is that it's great spotlight for identifying the nut jobs.

Methinks that someone in this thread might be one of the good number of Americans who *still* believe a few things like Obama is Muslim and a few other goodies like this.

The OP clearly stated to consider the source - not OMG - this is 100% true!!! :D

Sad to see that a good number of Americans still believe some silly stuff... :(

Headline:

Sizeable Minorities Still Believe Saddam Hussein Had Strong Links to Al Qaeda, Helped Plan 9/11 and Had Weapons of Mass Destruction

However, the numbers have fallen substantially this year

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Dec. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- More than four years after the
attacks of September 11, 2001, many U.S. adults still believe some of the
justifications for the invasion of Iraq, which have now been discredited,
according to a new Harris Poll. For example:

-- Forty-one percent (41%) of U.S. adults believe that Saddam Hussein had
"strong links to Al Qaeda."
-- Twenty-two percent (22%) of adults believe that Saddam Hussein "helped
plan and support the hijackers who attacked the United States on
September 11."
-- Twenty-six percent (26%) of adults believe that Iraq "had weapons of
mass destruction when the U.S. invaded."
-- Twenty-four percent (24%) of all adults believe that "several of the
hijackers who attacked the United States on September 11 were Iraqis."

However, all of these beliefs and others have declined sharply since the
questions were asked in February 2005. For example:
-- Those who think Saddam Hussein had strong links to Al Qaeda have fallen
from 64 to 41 percent.
-- Those who believe that Iraq was a serious threat to U.S. security are
down from 61 to 48 percent.
-- Those who think Saddam Hussein helped plan 9/11 are down from 47 to
22 percent.
-- Those who think Iraq had weapons of mass destruction are down from
36 to 26 percent.
-- Those who think Iraqi hijackers attacked the United States on 9/11 have
fallen from 44 to 24 percent.

I knew some, not all, of this and find it worrying, disconcerting & maybe a tad depressing.

Also, 15% of country thinks Jesus spoke English

30+% think professional wrestling is real.

>5% still think we didn't put men on the moon.

>40% think Republicans deserve another change (sorry, irresistable..)

Fish, my friend.

As others pointed out, q didn't write the piece.

It has some entertainment value, a bit.

Please refrain from personal attacks on fellow LT members. You know we've discussed this.:D
