Does anyone know if the Elise interior trim (i.e., passenger footrest) is anodized aluminum or painted?

Used some Armor All wipes to clean it and then noticed it's not meant for "painted objects"...

Thanks

It's probably none of the above. It's not painted for sure, no clear coat. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just raw al-loo-min-e-um. The shifter ball may have a coating of some kind on it, it's a nice smooth finish.

All of the extrusions on the car are anodized by Hydro before being bonded and riveted. It isn't anodizing like you would be used to seeing on an Ipod or other consumer product, it is there for corrosion resistance.

The passenger footrest I am not sure, since it is a bent sheetmetal part and not an extrusion, but it does not look painted.
