Last weekend I had an issue with my iPhone and the Alfa. The next day I had a similar issue with the Evora. It seems like it’s a phone issue but I haven’t found any settings that might cause it so was wondering if anyone here had the same issue.

On the Evora when I go to play music through Bluetooth (on the pioneer) the phone connects and it acts like it’s on a call but the call is to myself. The music plays though it but the volume knob doesn’t work but the phone pop up screen volume buttons do. Basically it’s treating the music as a phone call from my own phone.

I have an old iPod connected via the cable in the glovebox but it’s working fine.

The Alfa did something similar ie treat the sound as a call on Bluetooth but when connected via the wire it plays through the phone speakers but the car can control it.

I have two phones for work and the other one works fine so I’m at a loss why one works and the other is causing issues. Google has been pretty much useless as it’s difficult to describe and most searches bring up regular Bluetooth connection issues. I did find on on the Tesla forums but they were back in forth on if it’s the car or phone. It also said reset the phone which I think I did but will try it again tomorrow.

Any suggestions on setting or other options will be appreciated

Nope. Nor my Homelink, but I’m seeing a common factor in that error chain.....ME!

Nevertheless that Evora brought me many miles of smiles to say the least. Sorry for the thread hijack.

Gup, I’m not saying anything and remember too I let you win earlier this year;)

FWIW I updated the iPhone and it worked. It was weird that it just stopped working for no reason, which was why it seemed like a setting thing but anyway it’s fixed now.

On a side it also fixed the Alfa issue.
