Would it be CARB legal to swap Exige S, 240, 260 parts to an Elise? Thanks!

What parts?

If it's the exhaust, nobody will ever know.

If you move over the supercharger, then you will fail visual inspection unless you have a CARB certification sticker, which you will not.

They're a bunch of fascists, those people.

Only if the inspector actually knows what he's looking at.

Cheers.
The problem is this - the emissions sticker over our engine says "1.8L N/A". A supercharger is not "N/A".

Almost every shop will catch this, unless you find one willing to overlook it, and that's not free.

Furthermore, ECU maps send a hash called the "calibration verification number" as part of your OBD-II scan. This tells the state you are modded, but they're not using this to go after people yet, just collecting it.

They are actually starting to nail people for not having a valid cvn. What happens is that they pass you for that test but the next time you get a smog it will be a state ref smog. You won't know immediately that they got you.
