Hi everyone My new to me Elise came with a VF stage 2 muffler and that was just too loud for me. So I aquired a low miles stock muffler and installed it. I'm surprised at it's sound level, normal converstations in the car - pretty much forget it. At this point in time, I do not have any local comparison so I ask you guys: is this what a stock muffler sounds like? The car has a VF stage 2 SC on it and no cat. Ignore the smoke etc, quite a cold morning here when I did the video. Thanks for your opinion.

Sounds like my stock muffler. Maybe a bit louder though. Hard to tell through the computer.

That sounds pretty normal to me for a decat stock exhaust.

The catalytic converter provides muffling so the car will be louder than stock without it.

I supposé than the absorption material into the muffler is gone. It is located at the end wall of the muffler. The internal tube is shooting directly the flow to the material.
