F1 track development on schedule!

wow this dickup user is being a devils advocate and a sinister masochistic pessimist.

yes, austin texas will have the funding this time around. since 1999 certain officials and investors have been working on developing this F1 project in clandestine!

For the $25mill in annum will occur from the city of austin(travis county)! Morever, if the S.korea can develop their track in less than 2years time so will austin texas developers/builders.

You have no clue to the investors are! Each and evey one of those F1 cars use clandestine AMD algorithmics and microprocessors(hint)! In addition, IBM also were co-researchers and developers(hint)! Now there is another semiconductor manufacturer who has divested interest in those projects/research projects which would make austin texas a hotbed for technology research and 2nd and/or surrogate silicon valley! And during off-season this track has plenty of uses by F1 developers and possibly MOTO GP(italian style)! Morever, the R&D from alternative energy developers and auto battery technologist will fuel the local economy due to the fact F1 has been given instructions for this cars to run on alternative energy in future races!

AMD has thoroughly worked with and partnered with ferrari since 2002 on clandestine projects(hint)!

And moreover, for that clumsy "dickup forum scribbler". 3 sites are already chosen as construction sites! you won't know and won't publicly be announced till the end of summer/fall when the ground work is already starting and started! And FIA will approve this F1 track by the scheduled december 2011 approval deadline! Those interested and stupified will know this fall how serious and real this F1 track will be coming this fall when the respective parties(political and private) meet for the FIA circuit commision meeting.

yeah, imagine if s.korea can build a state of the art F1 track; what the USA can do with its investors (the F1 s.korea track was scheduled for july opening but has been pushed back to august of 2010 opening; ready on schedule for the october f1 race)! This track also has political motif!

its like having an olympic every year; without a doubt more than a brain damaging superbowl-football; because the entire world will be watching austin, texas with F1 in its evolving luxurious backyard.

This city, austin, texas needs some significant european flair(in with the better out with the losers, dirtbags, scums, problem makers) and away with the hill-billie country western style-keep austin weird mentality! This city should be built going forward into a cosmopolitan city unlike any other city or county in the state of texas, in the likes of manhatten and beverly hills without their respective junk! And enough money in taxes to control and/or curb the crime levels(in any)!.

The city will become a hotbed for research and development(with significant amounts of high-tech engineers with solid B.Science and ph.d's) with this formula 1 track. This music scene and or whatever it is called brings nothing but chaos and pandemonic hater mongers and morbid hospitalities! A handful of high-dice rollers will bring more than 100x what this so called music scene or " keep it weird mentality" does for the city of austin. F1 track of this magnitude will bring billionaires to develop the local economy and city.

Keep the city: chic, technologically advanced, R&D hotbed; making austin, texas the forefront national...no; one of the international location for modern advancements in society unlike the rest in texas!

Didn't fall asleep in Business 101 like you apparently did muchacho!

That the Great State of Texas already got scammed out of $25 million is bad enough for any taxpayer residing here. $300 million dollar track with only one 4 or 5 day F1 spree a year? How much will tickets be? About $10,000 a pop?!

This entire 'thang' smacks of complete horse schit and more smoke blowing than those 3 BBQ joints combined down in Lockhart.

Entire deal makes ZERO sense from a business point of view, is funny because Austin in not that sophisticated of a town ( never has been ), and I'm guessing this is all just someone's wet dream.

It already is. An F1 track there would not make it any more so, nor would it enhance any of the other technologies you mentioned; they will march on regardless.

Besides business 101, you might also want to bone up on your international politics 101. S. Korea is a state-run country. All important industries are nationalized and the government is thoroughly corrupt. It's not too different than China or even N. Korea in that the state makes things happen that they want to happen. There is no bottom line to worry about, nor pesky unions (I know, Texas doesn't have that problem, just a rhetorical example), environmental regulations, etc.

It does? I'd bet that your desire is not at all what Austin "needs".

Austin has proved that a city can be both cosmopolitan and a little weird at the same time which helps create it's special character. It might be surprising to those that have not been to Austin that not that many Austinites wear boots but come race day, the European and Asian attendees will be sporting their new Tony Llamas by the droves.

Probably due to all the Transplantos that have poured into town these last years!

Austin has proved that a city can be both cosmopolitan and a little weird....
One of them thinks that the old Bird's Nest Airport is the site of all this F1 Fun. Seem to recall everyone buying up land around Manor when that "new airport" was supposed to go in there. ;)

What do y'all know? The Transplanto was totally wrong about this site it seems!

Go figure. He fessed up earlier today blaming faulty intel.

If these 'promoters' had pulled out a street race instead of this compound concept.... more Rednecks would believe them. That 1984 Dallas GP was ran around the Texas State Fairgrounds and what a fiasco. Was over 100 degrees, the teams were actually tossing dry ice inside the cockpits, and the 'track' was coming apart during the event. Was there and recall it like yesterday. Crazy stuff!

those who are concerned and followers and watchers of formula 1. its official; the track will be built near Del Valle off of the south part of highway 130 and 71. Thats all for now. Also, ACC is expanding(100 +/- acres) in that area and into bastrop for the needed education that will be required to have more.....

Need more fabs and silicon knowledgable workers....of what is to be expected....

This is in line with the requests of what the aircrew of formula 1 wants and FIA and bernie. Easy delivery of cars(proximity) to the airport and then to the track! Bypassing the central austin traffic area(completely). Expect more highways in and around this track intersecting with 130 or etc. traffic will come from the north dallas area, houston area and of course the Austin Bergstrom strip.

If you'd care to read more carefully that was a Transplanto's call...

How about a friendly little Texas-style wager that this track never sees the light of day by that 2012 'race date'... or ever? This entire deal would make Billie Sol Estes so proud he'd burst. rotfl

A street race would have been the way to go initially for most cities with NO facilities.

Serve it up...

Have to agree... as much as I'd love to see another US race, this seems like a typical scam one would associate with Bernies pals.

Official formula 1 track located confirmed!

There are many evil doers or sayers. Many high rolling dicers are jealous because bernie and decided to have the USA formula 1 track in austin texas. there were many contenders: i.e. new york, florida, california, neveda, and back in indiana. And it was last minute decision to fool the malicious.

You better believe it! There are going to be ome shoe pulling, word cussing, and stabs in the back and flagrant evil posters throughout the US forums posts, auto affiliates to stop austin, texas. But nothing will alter what the investors and politicians wants who conceded on the development of this formula 1 event in southeast austin texas(off of 130/71 in del valle). This plan is not a spur of the moment ideaology and project; this project has clandestinely been in the plans without the publics or medias knowledge. The other states plans was a diversion! rotflrotfl

ITS NOT ABOUT WHAT BERNIE WANTS! AND BOTH PARTIES ARE CONTENT WITH the FINANCIAL AGREEMENTS! ITS WHAT THE "INVESTORS" WHO ARE FRONTING the MONEY "WANT"! READ PRIOR COMMENTS TO DETERMINE WHO THE INVESTORS ARE!

THERE IS NO MATCH AGAINST TECHNOLOGY INVESTORS! THEY ARE THE BLUE CHIP dow components who dominate every market corner on the face of this country!(big boys are allowed to have some fun) AND IF FORMULA 1 WAS A COUNTRY; IT WOULD BE THE 4TH LARGEST GDP producer after the USA, solely due to the currency fluctuations.

Not one of these cities in these respective mentioned states can match austin, texas in terms of...

We'll in a few weeks the work already starting...actually if one has a kaleidoscopic hubble-scope one can already see the land survyers and/or ground work. But some fortunates can just drive there and see!

That ridiculous initial payola of $25,000,000 by the Great State of Texas was public funds correct? Why didn't you just write the check or one of your Prime Movers?

In the words of George Thorogood... bourbon, scotch, or beer? What's the wager this "project" doesn't make that 2012 race date or ever hombre? This entire 'thang' is a Texas-sized joke at the expense of the taxpayer.

Found an evn more topical one. First had a British slant!

Lastly since y'all are breaking ground down there in Del Valle "any day now"...

Sadly I have to concur compadre!

When I was at that 1984 Dallas GP recall thinking at the time how amzing it would be to have had the race on Austin's streets versus Fair Park's parking lots.

How this latest planned fiasco could make any money EVER is certainly a mystery to me as well as to so many others.

Always something with the F1 circus.

The 4th largest GDP is Germany... $3.3 trillion for 2009.

Are you trying to tell me that F1 grosses more than that?

It looks like F1's worldwide revenues are more like $3.9 billion.

If your certainty about the Austin F1 race is off by as much as your revenue numbers, then there's actually about a 0.1% chance of it happening.

Sounds about right... :D

its seems tavo hellmund is trying to bring more than formula 1, thereby changing the location of the F1 track location. This F1 promoter is actually also trying to bring NASCAR into austin or close to it! :ST:

He is actually intending to fool formula 1 chief that austin, tx would only be a formula 1 city but, however, he is setting up, also, a NASCAR rally or bully show into south austin near kyle(some events already takes place on mini scales).

So the proposed location of F1 track near hwy's 130 and 71 may not be, but instead be located off of north austin's hwy 130 near manor or Bird's Nest or long's park due to Tavo's devious intentions. This would create heavy traffic from the hwy 290 and I35 intersections coming or going off of 130 as well as the growing commercial and residential industries. But, this NASCAR event is one MAIN reason why he would try to develop this track in north austin. However, he states its only 10 miles from the main airport in austin and 10 miles from downtown! this 10 miles is like 45 minutes(in real time) or more from the airport!!!

There were 3 proposed and reserved sites and their all on the eastside, off of hwy 130. I think someone needs some attention about bringing NASCAR into or around austin. Take it to dallas, san antonio or further! But i don't think Bernie and other investors have the fullest knowledge of what Tavo Hellmund's intentions are!!!
