Forgive me for spamming so many Lotus lists, but I think you'll all want to know this.

What would many of us do without Jeff Robinson at JAE? Well, we're about to find out, 'cuz Jeff is retiring from full time JAE duties at the end of May.

After 43 years being involved with Lotus, and the last 21 years up to his eyebrows in JAE almost 24-7, he just wants to make room for other interests in life while he can still enjoy doing so. I can appreciate that, but I'll also miss knowing he's just a phone call away.

I've been a JAE customer and friend for most of those 21 years. I met Jeff at LOG 13, Oct 1993, broke my Eclat's shifter during the track day that followed, and placed my first order to JAE as soon as I got home. Jeff has been a great tech resource and a friendly voice on the phone ever since then.

Jeff still loves Lotus cars and Lotus people. He will remain involved as a civilian with many interests, who also happens to have a car hobby.

I really miss Brian Angus since his retirement from Lotus Cars.

Now I'm going to miss Jeff Robinson in a similar way. They are both huge assets to Lotus owners, and neither can be replaced with a simple call to HR.

There should be a humongous party!! With an swap meet, a Concours, and an autocross!

Gongratulations, Jeff. Enjoy your new life of leisure, but stay in touch. Stick your head into some of these groups from time to time.

Regards,
Tim Engel

JAE will carry on with Jay holding down the fort. We're losing a Lotus friend and tech resource, but we're not losing a first class Lotus specialist vendor.

I feel joy and sadness at the same time right now. Although I am very happy for Jeff his loss at JAE will be deeply missed as I've been talking with him for the past 12 years purchasing parts for my Esprit.

Everytime I called JAE Jeff was the man I spoke with and alway's gave sound advice. I wish him the very best in his future and hope he stays in touch with us.
