I put the Evora away a couple of weeks ago. I hate this time of year.

In my town, a saline solution is often applied right before a snowfall.

This stuff stays on the pavement for a loooong time. So, while other towns' roads get cleared of salt after a decent rain, ours do not.

Again, I highly recommend Salt Away (Amazon is a source) to instantly neutralize any salt picked up. After hosing out wheel wells and surrounding areas, I attach hose to garden sprinkler and move it about under car.

(I do not put car away for winter, nor do I use hardtop. Too many nice days interspersed during winter months….)

Same here.
Although we don't have any snow yet in Montreal, I'm planning on putting the little Elise for her winter sleep next weekend.

As much as it sucks, I kinda like it.
It gives me plenty of time to work on the car, and make the spring season even better :)

In 2005 I looked at buying a place in western New York. I really miss New England! Then that white stuff started falling and I passed. No matter how much I miss New England, my busted up body can't take the bitter cold anymore. I'll just visit when it's warmer!

I think that I'm a little north of you. Right now everything that hasn't already gotten brine is covered with ice. We've had snow >6 times already, although not much of it has stuck for long. I put the cars up weeks ago.

I'm hoping to get one more good weekend drive out of the Europa before I put it away for the winter. Last weekend was pefect but I had previous plans. This weekend is crap, rain and snow fluries. If next weekend doesn't pan out I'll probably change the oil and put her to bed.

Not put away yet - no significant snow - ie no salt, but it's been cold and rainy. I'll try to get a few runs in but once snow comes, I go into submission.

I used to live in NC for many years and took the super mild winters for granted. Before I moved to the DC area, all I needed to survive the winters was a light jacket or a hoodie.

We don't get a lot of snow here, but it's enough to make me sad and a lil nostalgic.

Yup, the little Elise is resting till April; clam off, Katana on and ready for the first try, some other stuff to prep. One of my favorite times!
WOW! Talk about torture! Installing a supercharger and not even being able to test it until April? Thank God for California!

I like the way your license plate actually fits the car without making it look stupid like the US plates do.I wish our Department of Transportation would get with the program and adjust the dimensions of our plates.
Is that a less expensive plate than a full year registration would cost? The DMV won't do that where I live. If you drive the car only for 1 day in New Hampshire - it has to be registered/paid for the entire year.
