We all know Dent Werks in Los Angeles for their body shop and dent removal, but did you know they now can do mechanical and tuning work on cars including Lotus.

Just about anyone can work on a modern Lotus :panic: but working on an older temperamental european car takes more than just training. And my 1995 Ford Escort RS Cosworth is as temperamental as they get, but the guys at Mulholland Motorsports (Dent Werk's mechanical, fabrication and tuning side) got my oddball car all sorted when most mechanics won't even touch it.

I met Mulholland Motorsports owner Julio at the Motor4Toys event back in December and he said he had just hired Stephan Schwartz from the ol' Lotus shop in Beverly Hills, who could work on just about anything. Stephan had worked on my Exige and my Elise prior to that, and i always found him to be very thorough, professional and enthusiastic about his work.

My Cosworth had all sorts of issues, ranging from a busted water pump to electrical glitches and Stephan was able to diagnose and replace/repair all the problems. He honestly told me what i needed and what i could live without. He gave me options on how to address issues, based on how much time and how much money i wanted to spend.

Both Stephan and Julio are auto enthusiasts and talk, teach and learn about the product they work on and take the time to honestly listen to the customer and what's important to us.

And most of all, they act on their word. They had the car done on time as promised and had it washed and ready to go before i picked it up. One less thing i had to worry about in my busy schedule.

If Mulholland Motorsports can get my wacky Cosworth back on the road, you know I'd trust them with something as everyday as my Exige. rotfl Based on my experience, I recommend them for all sorts of work.

Didn't know the Escort Cossie at their shop was an LT member's :) Kevin called me up and said they had a Cosworth RS at their shop, so I had to see it for myself. At first he just said it was a Cosworth, so I thought it was a RS200, lol. Pretty rare car, I've only seen a couple in the US. The car's AWD right? I took a look underneath but I could've sworn I didn't see a rear axle.

I need some random interior pieces on my STi painted...how long does something like that usually take? Let's say 6 trim pieces just painted and clear coated -

oh it's got one. unlike the modern evos with the east/west engine layout and FWD based chassis, this AWD system started out as RWD base (not FWD euro escort but chassis is off of RWD sierra aka merkur XR4ti) and thus the engine being north/south or "wrong way" according to mopho rotfl

and i guess i now know who owns the black euro Focus bumper that's sitting at the shop!!

Thanks for the kind words Jin! I had never seen a cosworth escort in person before and was real excited to get to work on one. I appreciate the Business and nothing makes me happier than a satisfied customer!

Hope to you soon.

Yep, that's mine. We should bring our Fords out one day and crash a Lotus G2G :D I expect to have mine back mid-Feb, it'll be at Julio's 2nd week of Feb to get the bumper fitted on.
