Laguna with HoD - 03/18

yea, typically the long range forecast has sunny every day EXCEPT for the 18th (cloudy), then sunny again on the 19th!! Oh well, hopefully it just stays cloudy, but dry... Then again, the 10 day forecast can't always predict so well so far in to the future...

Hey all,
Kiyoshi - since it's my first time at Laguna, I actually signed up for Group A (since it's only my second outing with HoD and according to their FAQ's you should Group A on a new track - I am signed off for solo (at Thunderhill), but wouldn't mind some coaching on a new track!).
Do you have someone already lined up to coach? If not, I'd love some guidance on this track
I'll be there with my Mag Blue Lotus too!

Laguna is a fantastic track. However it is NOT as forgiving as THill. An off at Laguna has a MUCH higher chance of ending in a ugly way. But, a good lap at Laguna is a guaranteed grin.
I'll be headed down later this afternoon and will be at the early check-in at the Embassy Suites.

Beautiful day at Laguna Seca! I stopped by to try and meet some other Lotus drivers, :wave: but you were all at lunch/away from your cars. :sad: I was in the Mag Blue Lotus. I did manage to drool over the R8 :drool: and say Hi to another participant who is active duty Air Force, before I had to head back to work. Looked like a great turnout, wished I had more time to take more pics... I also went into the Skip Barber garage to check out the 3 Exiges they bought... nice.
Stopped back by in the afternoon and had the honor of meeting Kiyoshi. He indulged my newbie questions with no outward signs of annoyance; very impressive. I would have stayed to watch some laps but the CinC House (wife) was expecting me.

Hi Rob! Great to meet you! Next time we'll go out on track for grins!
An absolutely spectacular day at Laguna. Must have gotten to 70 with brilliant sunshine.
The track was perfect. Hardly any mud and runoff. It was pretty green in the morning, by afternoon it had was feeling pretty consistent.
I really enjoyed riding with Lowell, Lowell's better half and Rom. Thanks guys, nice driving.
