That is cool, though. I would definitely participate in that kind of thing.

A lady I work with sent me a message one day saying that her 16 year old son saw my Exige in the parking lot one day and flipped sh*t... apparently he LOVES Lotus. I offered, that if it was OK with her, that I'd take him for a spin. She jumped at the idea.

And just because I like throwing twists into everything, we are going to mess with him a little... just plan a day and she's going to take him out and have to "swing by work" ... while they're there, I'll bring the Exige up behind them, talk to the kid a bit, and take him for a ride (rather than telling him ahead of time).

I'm looking forward to it. I love it when, through nothing other than my car, an inanimate object, I can help brighten someone else's day... It's so effortless on my part and means so much to them :D

I've been combing the local high schools asking the girl's volleyball teams if they'd like a ride.

Surprisingly, I got escorted out of the parking lot by the gendarmes.

Have no idea why.

Great video. Thanks for posting. It really hits to one of the basic satisfactions that comes with owning a toy like these.( For myself anyway)

When someone / everyone is so torqued up about yur fly ride you spent stupid hour on... The experience is the same but at least with the LOTUS the price of admission is somewhat acceptable to upper middle folk such as myself.

I have countless memories of home gameday's around Neyland Stadium here in Knoxville... CO is the color of University of Tennesse Volunteers.

Literally Tens and thousands of heads on a swivel with a crack of the throttle... It's legendary fun !

Now if we could just win again.:facepalm

awesome. with the caravan I thought they'd give all the kids a ride.

if he got a Lambo shirt, he's going to wear it so much, it'll only last like a month before it gets all tattered. haha

Great post! I had a funny one here in Australia at a car show. Little kid about 4 with his brother (about 6) come over to look at my car with a really cute poodle about 12 months old. "I tell you what" I said to the 4 year old..."I'll swap my car for your poodle...deal?". The 4 year old was interested but hesitant. "OK" I said "you sit in it and your brother can sit in it to - and then we'll see if we can make a deal". Well, by this time about 50 people are all around including mum and dad. So with them in the car I started it up and gave it a light rev. Both kids were over the moon... so I said "well you know the deal my car for your dog" (dad's hopeing they say "yes".... it was a tough, serious discussion between them both in the car with about 100 people around...... and then the verdict "no deal"...darn thought I had myself a cool dog!! Wow, your brother? That's awesome. Share some more details.

But maybe your nephew was like so many entitled American kids.

Dad: 'Hey Jacob, we can have uncle Jon come buy in his Lotus'

Jacob: 'But Dad, I want a REAL birthday present. I want a ride in a 700hp Aventador. Not that plastic 4 banger with a Toyota engine that uncle Jon drives'

:)

And I'm sure the other kids got rides in the other Lambos.

Supercars are supercars, but NOTHING makes a kid go gaga more than my little Moke. I can fit 4 kids (plus me) in it and at our 4th of July neighborhood party last year, I believe I gave 'rides' for about 2 hours and probably 40 different kids. They were literally lining up!

Putting smiles on kid's faces - especially your own - is the greatest feeling in the world.

I would get together with a group in a heartbeat to do something like this! Nice find.

And good on your brother to have the forethought to reach out to ask the dealership.

Kind of a 'so obvious, why haven't others done it' thing. I've there's one thing I've learned about exotic car owners - especially Lambo guys - they LOVE to show the peacock feathers (their cars).

Could probably just hit up some car forum as well.

'Oh, please University of Oregon Cheerleaders. My 7 year old daughter wants nothing more than to be a cheerleader and she loves the Ducks. Can you please get a big group to come over to our house? My daughter is so cute - she specifically requested that just the blonde cheerleaders come and to make sure that you are wearing Lululemon yoga pants. Isn't she precious?'
