Hey Friends,

I have read the other posts regarding the Larini exhaust for the Evora and it seems to be a favorite among users.

I have a couple of questions though based on what I read:

First, I was a bit confused when I read some things regarding "CAT deletes" as I'm not sure what this means. I'm looking for a simple bolt on solution that will not impact my emissions.

Where is the best place to purchase - Sector 111?

Is there anything that I need to order with the Larini system to fit it to my car?

I believe I saw options for both oval and duel tips. What do folks think look best on the Evora?

Thanks my friends!

The cat delete, or "decat pipe", takes the place of the 3rd catalytic converter that sits between the stock headers/manifold and the exhaust. The stock Evora has a pair of catalytic converters on each of the 2 stock headers/manifolds. The decat pipe does not affect these, and they should be more than sufficient to pass any emissions test. The 3rd cat that is replaced by the decat pipe is overkill/unnecessary, but Lotus left it in place for the US market (they removed it for rest-of-world models).

Sector 111 is where I bought mine, and I would highly recommend them, especially since they are so supportive of the Lotus aftermarket community.

Unless the Larini design has changed, if you have a '12 or later Evora, you will need the pre-'12 exhaust hanger mounts (search one of the Larini threads for the part #). From '12 onwards, Lotus changed the hanger mounts, whereas the Larini was designed to fit the pre-'12 version of the mounts. The pre-'12 mounts are cheap, i think i paid $30 for them from my dealer. Check with Shinoo @ Sector 111 to confirm that the design has not changed, I would imagine he is well aware of what parts are needed to get the right fit based on your model year.

As for tips, obviously that's your personal preference. Coming from the stock S exhaust, I wanted to have as close to stock-looking as possible, so i went with the single oval (vs the dual slash tips), and love it.

I've been very happy with my Larini exhaust/decat pipe, and would highly recommend it.

Larini or the optional Sports Exhaust are the two top choices on the board. Sports Exhaust is only available with the dual tips as opposed to the oval tip.

Tex covered just about everything as to the third cat. There was some guy in the classifieds making decat pipes but it would only fit the pre 2012 cars. Lotus (Janspeed) makes a decat pipe for the 2012+ cars that are fitted stock ROW but refused to sell one to me in the US. Your only two options then are Larini or 2bular for the decat pipe.

Also, as to emissions, it should pass a sniff test with the two primary cats still in place. The O2 sensors that the OBD system uses to test the cats are before and after the primary and not secondary cats so the OBD system has no idea whether that third cat is in place or not and as a result it cannot mess up your emissions in that way. Further, due to the underbody paneling visual inspections for the cat are basically impossible.

Sector 111 is awesome. That is also where I bought mine from. Shinoo will either have the answers or get them for you regarding any hanger issues if there are any.

As far as the delete pipe vs cat, see the below photo that they had on their website. Note that they labeled the "resonator" which is the 3rd cat everyone is talking about. You can also see they labeled the valve.

I recommend the Larini system for the Evora S... we installed it on a 2013 S and it sounds great!
See the thread "Mansory Bumper install" in the Evora threads

We are a Sector 111 dealer and i can match the price and help you with shipping

Replied to your PM but I would slap on the sports exhaust you already have before paying for a different exhaust. The Larini requires the earlier style exhaust hangers as far as I know so you will have to purchase them anyway. You can still use a decat pipe with either.
