1/22/19 - From Jennifer Tipton-Fraser: her Lotus parked outside the famous Story Inn in Nashville, Indiana. She writes:"A Blast from the Past! This was my car. I took this photo too. I'm curious as to where the OP found it? We campaigned this car in SCCA Solo II super stock class and we had various people working with us, hence the decals. The Lotus was new to the US at this time and we were doing quite well in super stock, a class that was typically the domain of big power cars. The success of this little car surprised and chagrined many Z06 owners who had dominated the class for years. We were kicking ass and taking corvette names....the Jolly Roger flags on the front were a nod to the "super stock pillager" a nickname this particular car picked up along the way. Randy Chase drove it, Mike Junior Johnson (he's not on this page so I can't tag him) drove it and my husband George Frazier drove it. The car nearly won a national title but Mike just barely tapped a cone out of the box on his final run and placed 2nd. Per this photo....on this particular day we were out playing and running back roads in Indiana. I was driving our other Elise and my husband was in this one. We took passengers with us that day. I took the wife along in my car. My husband took her husband along his his. They enjoyed this drive so much they bought their own Krypton Green Elise a few months later. Good times."
