With deference to Hoopy Frood's thread on what color demo cars dealerships are getting, I am wondering what the current spot in line is at various dealerships. If you know what line number your local dealership is up to, please post it here and I'll accumulate them in the first message in this thread. Thanks in advance!

Hope this helps us spot who has low line numbers (well compartively low) as compared to other dealers.

darksol,

Thanks for the response I added it to the list above. I'm hoping when people call their dealer to check on arrivals they will also ask what line # they are up to and help populate this list.

Thanks!

Thanks, I updated the list. Since Prestige is not taking deposits, do you have any idea what cars in what configuration they have coming in first batch? For example, possibly an argent red/biscuit with sport/touring and hardtop? ;)

SVAG and Lotus of Los Gatos are one and the same. As of a few weeks ago roughly around 140 deposits down.

It's been several months since I'd talked to Boardwalk. At the time they were putting a cap, around 25-35 deposits.

When I talked to the sales manager at Prestige a month ago he said he was ordering his cars with touring + sport packs, some with and some without hard tops. He said he had taken 2 or 3 deposits early on and than people started to call him immediatelly wanting to know when their cars would be in so he got fed up and returned the deposits. I really believe that they see a great opportunity to make a good buck over MSRP and that is the real motivator, so I'm keeping his number and will call him in a month or two to see if he has anything that hasnt moved but I seriously doubt it. I bet those cars will be on ebay as soon as they hit the showroom and they'll sell for a lot more than MSRP but its their right so I can't really complain.

Carolina Motor Cars is not a dealer (though they're listed that way on the Lotus website). They're just an authorized service center, and have no intention of selling the car.
