It's been a while since I've worked on these calipers. I am not sure if I got the pin fully seated. Does the thin leading end need to go into the small hole on the far/inner side of the caliper? I am not confident I've got it seated properly. I've tapped with a punch but don't want to go wild. The pin is flush with the caliper on the near/outer side. Thanks!

pin is held in place by friction. make sure its through the holes on the pads and the holes on the spring. Installed by tapping on the outer side. I usually get it to go flush with the inner side. I use a screwdriver instead of a punch. I tapped it hard a few times, brake calipers are made very robust (for a good reason) dont think you will break it with a punch.

ps: also i use lots of anti squeal
