Just saw affiliation...interesting car...

LOTUS - 1980 Lotus Elite 504

For sale is my fathers 1980 Lotus Elite 504. Approx 35k miles. The car is the loaded up 504 model with leather, automatic, metallic blue paint, air conditioning, power windows, mirrors, full size matching spare tire/aluminum rim, etc.
The motor is a 907 2 litre Twin Cam with 4 valves per cylinder. 7000k rpm redline.
Over the years we bought black BBS wheels with a polished aluminum lip, blue flame custom dual exhaust with dual Ansa tips, and the stick shift conversion. We have the complete stick conversion: transmission, pedal box, bell housing, clutch, drive shaft, flywheel, shifter, all interior parts, cables, etc. Nothing has been installed yet, except for foam air cleaners, but it comes with the original air box if you wanted to switch it back, otherwise the car is 100% as it left the factory, including the Blaupunkt radio. Not long before he parked it the valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, transmission fluid and oil and filter were changed. He's decided to sell it now, so I'm listing it for him. He's owned the car since 1991, and it has always been stored in his garage. The last big trip we took in it was to the L.O.G. (Lotus Owners Gathering) in Worcester, Mass. The car drove perfect and it never missed a beat. No overheating issues, even in the 2 hours of traffic that we were stuck in.

It's like driving a 4 seater Esprit, but for 1/3 of the price. Yes even this car "Handles like it's on rails".

A few years ago before the winter - he put stabil in the gas and drove it around the block, then took the battery out and put it on trickle charger, put the car up on jack stands and we haven't fired it up since.
$4500 with all the extra parts. Car has brand new tires too. It's is 100% fiberglass and has a fully galvanized chassis, so obviously rust will never be an issue even if you stored it outside.
Car is #136 of 146.

This car is a true survivor that hasn't been messed with and has been stored in a dry garage for the entire time my dad had it. The car was never beaten or abused and it was never out in the rain, only driven on nice days.

Additional parts that come with the car (if you want them) that we've acquired over the years:
Complete Engine that is disassembled with a full Lotus gasket kit new in box, new valves, oil pump, timing belt kit.
Starter, alternator, two complete doors, front and rear bumpers, hood, gauges and dash parts, various suspension pieces, differential, rollbar, radiator, coolant fans, manual steering rack and column and key, brake parts, etc.
Also comes with the factory parts and service manual for the Eclat/Elite, not a cheap copy, the real Lotus manuals in the yellow binders, printed on the thick almost plastic feeling type of paper.
