vva should have more durable (cast i believe. not extruded) uprights - but the chassis itself, if damaged, is no more replaceable that the elise style - just that the vaa uprights should be more robust - the final product is assembled in similar fashion.
At least on the Evora VVA, the front and rear sub-frames are bolted on. Clearly, some of the Elise "totals" where a small puncture or dent in the front of the car caused it to be totaled due to the cost of replacing the entire chassis, could be much more economically repaired by just replacing the from sub-frame.

I know the aluminum tubs are supposed to impress, but with all the messy glue they are better described than looked at.
I used to think too. But now, I have now come to see the orange epoxy squished out between cast and extruded sections, as beautiful. In the same way I view well done TIG'd beads.

I mean, just *look* at it.
