I bought the original Iphone on the opening day 6/29/07 and haven't regretted it. Now, apple is allowing me to upgrade to the new model which supports A2DP stero bluetooth. As i really don't feel like searching for a cable for the back of the blauplunkt I would like to hear from anyone who is going to try linking the new Iphone 3gs to the blau.-- which is the best ?---

Lotus and Iphone

I have stage 2 exhaust and I know its difficult to hear telephone conversations if not impossible. What I was referring to was the usage of bluetooth fm wireless transmission of ipod music or like pandora services, etc. that can be accessed on the Iphone. I have read very good reveiws of the Motorla so i probably will go with that after I can purchase new IPhone due to their backlog of orders.

I have a Blaupunkt Hamburg Mp68. It actually does work with my Nokia E71 and friend's iPhones. But realistically there is slot of noise, even with my stock exhaust. The best part of Bluetooth is really just seeing who is calling. With the touch of a button you can bouncy them to voicemail, or pull over and answer the call if it is that important.

A2dp streaming works with the Nokia, but not the iPhone 3g. Will be able to test the 3Gs soon.

I use the iphone ear buds with CORD (yep, with a cord!;)). I hold the mic a little closer to my mouth rather than just let it dangle and I'm told it's very tollerable. Plus, the ear buds actually get loud enough for me to hear the conversation... Sometime old school is better:)

Back in 2006, I tried to use my KRZR to play music through my stereo via Bluetooth - what the OP was interested in. At the time it was a disaster, there were all kinds of problems with the Bluetooth implementation on both the Motorola phone and the receiver. I actually couldn't believe that garbage ever made it past QA. Now I'm curious if those things have been sorted out, I'd love to try again. Even if so, I'll be skeptical of the quality though.

I have to use earphons but actually works pretty well with crash helmet on.
+1.

I've had some of my best phone conversations while on the track. The helmet really provide great wind protection...

I don't have the 3G S yet (still on the old 3G) -- but after doing a quick 2nd gear romp the phone almost flew out the window under accel -- might be getting a 3G S sooner than I think ;)

I'm running a Larini 8", no cat, full length headers and have conversations on my iPhone -- not optimal, but it's doable. I have a Pioneer AVIC-N4 head unit and it seems to work well with my iPhone, same with the women's voice telling me to go :)

I compared side by side, and the 3GS is about 1.5 seconds faster to load Google.com both using same 3g connection.

If it was 200.00 I'd upgrade to one. but not for the price they want...

A coworker got her 3g iphone about 20 days before release of 3gS so she took it back and got the new fancy one. its an improvement, but I can wait.

I just ordered a Jawbone bluetooth headset (to only be used in cars) on woot.com. we shall see if its everything they say it is.

iPhone 3G S
CPU ARM Cortex A8 @ 600 Mhz (max 833Mhz)
256MB RAM
PowerVR SGX Graphics chip (can do 720p video but stays a 640 x 480)
3 Megapixel camera
Bluetooth 2.1

iPhone 3G
CPU ARM 11 412 Mhz
128MB RAM
PowerVR MBX-Lite graphics chip
2 Megapixel camera
Bluetooth 2.0

There is actually a lot more different going from the 3G to the 3G S than there was going from the 2G to 3G.

Internal hardware changes comparison

Connectivity performance is the same and will still be limited by AT&T here in the US. Verizon should be available for iPhone in 2010.
