I needed to replace both of my rear A048s yesterday.

I called Lotus Beverly Hills, and Alan said to bring the car right in.

Stephen, also in Service, greeted me with a smile and they took care of it promptly.

They checked the car, added oil and antifreeze for free.

Professional, fast service, and the friendliest people.

And a great place to talk cars. :D

Saw Serebo's matte black Lotus up on the lift there too...nice.

That's good! Peace of mind is very important. Did they have A048's in stock? How much did they charge for the tires, installation?

I'm willing to pay more for a professional job, it removes a lot of stress on me. Of course, it depends on HOW MUCH MORE it would be compared to if you were to buy A048's on line (Tire Rack) and let a "schlock" tire place to destroy the rims and make havoc.

Tires in stock always...

Cost about the same as Globe Tire, but professional installation by a Lotus Service Bay and no worries about wheel damage ever!

Installation was $25 per tire with the whole balancing act...

and they clean all your wheels!

Wish they would even return 2 of my e-mails I sent them in the past 2 weeks.

Here's a better idea...

Call Alan at Lotus Beverly Hills at 310-246-5454.

He'll answer any questions you have promptly. :D

How much oil and antifreeze did you need? How long since your last oil change?
About one can of oil and a pint of antifreeze.

Last oil change about 4000 miles ago.

Stephen heard my engine making a really small clacking noise.

Added the oil and it stopped the noise.

It might have been a little less oil.

He poured it from a plastic container.

Autocross once in a while...no tracking this car.

I have another car that I track.

13,000 miles on the Lotus!

Serebo 1 (Alan) had his Lotus painted in a matte black at SCC in Los Angeles. (He doesn't like it called matte black, however).

I think it's really cool.

I am utterly jealous of you guys. My trip to pick up my car from service today took 5 years off my life. I bought new rears last week (the car was there for 3 days for this and 4 days before that for an ecu reflash), when I picked it up there was 2 in of grease on the wheels, and beneath that were my ruined wheels. I dropped it off on Tues to have them repaint the wheels. Since then they 'let go' the only competent person at the dealership, left my car outside in the rain and bird sh**, lied to my face about it, told me they were respraying the whole wheel - then only painted the outer edge of the wheel , told me three different tales about what was being done to fix my throttle issue and then did nothing, and for good measure left their cordless telephone in between my seats. I drove home with white knuckles and tears in my eyes contemplating selling the car so I didn't have to go through it again.

My husband says most of this is because I didn't buy the car there. Well, I tried to but they didn't have the car I wanted. After all of this bs, if there was another lotus dealer within reasonable driving distance I wouldn't give motorcars of ga the time of day. I have never been so disappointed and frustrated with anything in my life.
