I think the series was sold off or became part of NASA(?). Then they only allowed the GT4 homologated cars like the Evora.
I do remember watching a livestream of it a while back. I'm not sure if they had one this year.
The series is on hold. Lotus were in the midst of selling themselves (to Geely) and their support waned to the point that it was not financially prudent for Robbie to continue. Now that Lotus is owned by Geely, hopefully they will get behind this series and it will get rekindled. I remain cautiously optimistic.
As Shinoo mentioned, we've placed the series on hold in hopes for the launch of new Lotus racecars and a fresh concept. Stay tuned, we've been working behind-the-scenes for its return.
In the meantime, I've head up marketing and biz dev at SRO America (formerly Pirelli World Challenge) the past two seasons. Hope to see you at one of our GT World Challenge America race weekends in 2020.
