Lotus consider it a cross over - not that that is much better. I'm not sure I'd get one, I prefer uniquely styled station wagons like the now defunct Mazda 6 sportwagon, and the Saan 9-3 Sport-Combi, but - from a styling standpoint I like the APX better than every other cross over out there. The interior design is nicely spartan.Warning: SUV content. lol.
The engine is a running prototype designed and built by Lotus. There are other engines in the same family that Lotus is hoping to sell to clients for use in client vehicles. The APX, similarly was never intended to be built and sold as a Lotus vehicle, rather is was built as a design study - albeit one that could easily be productionized - with hopes of selling to another company for production and, at the very least, highlight Lotus' VVA chassis technology with hopes of selling a VVA chassis to another company.Whats the lotus engine they talk about at the end? Just theory?
