Lotus Elise (UK) at South Florida International Auto Show??
The red demo that was going around FL is at Dimmit Clearwater now and is going to Jacksonville in a few weeks. Call Dimmit and see if they will be bringing it down.
I doubt it will be there because Miami is about 3 or 4 hours away from them and people would then be going to Prestige and The Collection to make deposits instead.
I spoke to the sales manager at Prestige about a week ago about this... he said that they've been trying to get an Elise from Lotus for a while now for the upcoming auto show... but no luck so far... I guess we'll have to wait and see what they bring with them.
The really amusing part of all this is that they HAD an Elise at the auto show a couple years ago!!! Of course, it was a track-only car back then, but it was no problem getting the damn thing for the show!! I'm surprised they don't just ship over a UK-spec S2 for people to look at!!!

Why would want a Elise there now? It's not like anybody really wants that hunk of junk. =)
Nearly 650,000 people traditionally attend this automotive extravaganza, making it one of the largest shows in the country. Once again, we are the first major auto show of the season, and many leading manufacturers are planning new product introductions in Miami.
I would think they could get at least 50 deposits in the one week run of the show.
A dealer should have a booth setup so you can put one down on the spot. Seems a bit silly not to do this.
But what do I know? Just a rabid fan who wants to finally sit in one and fall into a trance looking at it. *wipes drool off keyboard*
Transio and Andreas: Check out this site. Go to contact us for a phone # and About Us for the location in Miami. They make kit car Elises with differant engines, and ask a fortune for them but if they are nearby, you could drive by and play dumb and ask if them if had a S2 model that you could take a look at.
