I would like to know other's thoughts and ideas on this:
An '08 Elise SC goes for approx. 35,000 British Pounds in the UK.
The Dollar/Pound exchange rate for the past few years was around $1.80 for 1 British Pound which would translate into U.S. prices about $63000, which is what I see the new '08 SC's going for now.
Recently, the exchange rate has changed drastically. As of this morning, the exchange rate is $1.49 dollars to a pound, which would translate into a US price of $52,150. Does anyone know what Lotus is going to do? They could sell more at the exchange adjusted price, which would keep their production up, sell more cars in the US, which would help out the dealer network. I'd buy a new SC today for 52, but to me 63 is a bit steep. Comments? Thoughts? Discussions?
