1,57 times hardly anything still remains hardly anything
It is good to see that sales are slightly increasing, but they still have a long way to go to become profitable.

If the comments are true, and the 200 UK sales represent 5% of the worldwide consumption, then lotus has more than 4000 annual sales, which is actually a lot more than the 1500-2000 from a few years ago.

and now for something completely different

Bentley Posts 19% Gain in 2013 Deliveries on Flying Spur - Bloomberg

Bentley sales of just the Flying Spur model alone increased to 10,000+ for 2013 models. Let's not forget that Bentley was a company that sold in the low hundreds at one time. For that matter, Porsche only sold around 3,700 cars per year in the US in 1993, but sell 10x that many now (1993 was a recession year, to be sure) (Sales Statistics: Porsche Cars North America. What did they do that Lotus hasn't/can't?

Bentley has what their typical clients wants: brand recognition, prestige, and luxury. Lotus is more akin to a comatose patient. So, when they wiggle their big toe, it's a cause to celebrate. :)

At least it's in the right direction, but 200 cars total in one year, comparing % gain to a previous abysmal sales year. Really not much news here.
