Ok, got the stock exhaust off. However, I did this with the car on the ground.

When I try to get the Lotus Sport exhaust into position, I find that I don't have enough clearance between the ground and the car to get the exhaust into position.

I have ramps that will get the car off the ground about 4.5 inches but not sure that will be enough.

Other suggestions?

Thanks!

Did did mine with a set of race ramps that add 8" of clearance and don't remember clearance being a concern. If that's all you have, give it a shot.

Lynn, my small ramps worked perfectly!! Thanks!

My ramps are only 4.5 inches tall because they are home made. :)

Sorry for all the questions you guys. How much should I tighten the clamp where the new exhaust attaches to the pipe? Should I use any sort of sealer?

Thanks!

Just get it pretty tight by hand, there is no torque spec for that. You don't need any sealer.

Be careful. Now that you are an accomplished muffler man, the journey may take you further than you ever thought possible.
