I was looking at the new European Lotus Exige specifications and was wondering if the optional Lotus Sport parts could be installed on a Federal Elise. From the looks of it the new European Exige is very similar to the Federal Elise with the LSS, hardtop, and exhaust options.

I wonder if the Exige engine cover could be retrofitted to fit the Federal Elise? (I'm sure someone will attempt this!) The mounting/hinge hardware is obviously different but does the engine cover roughly fit the same "hole" in the rear bodywork? The Exige's raised center air intake wouldn't mesh with the flat Elise hardtop, but that shouldn't be a huge problem. Just curious.
