Has anyone here used it in their gearboxes?

I've used their products for years in my Alfa gearboxes and it works great. Thinking about using it for the Esprit.

Most here use RedLine MT-90 in the Citroen 'boxes, works fine and is readily available. :bow:

I found this discussion about L.E. 1605 on BobIsTheOilGuy:

Is it a GL-4 fluid?

I believe it's a GL-5 fluid. Any problem running a GL-5?

Like I've said, I've used it for years. Was recommended by Southwind Enterprises, the race team that 1st raced the Dodge Vipers.

Alfa's are notorious for weak 2nd gear syncros and this was like a magic pill when used in the gear boxes. I run it in all 5 of my Alfas

I think the 110 viscosity may scare some people away but I think they changed the rating system at some point and it's actually closer in viscosity to a 90 wt gear oil.

How much $$ for a case?

Some newer GL5 do not harm brass synchros. Could it be the one?

Duolec is also used in Lucas Engine Treatment.

Got the girl running today and it shifts so much better it's amazing. Not saying it's better than the other highly recommended products here, I haven't compared. I just saying that compared to what was in the car when I purchased, it's like night and day.

Don't know how much per case, I bought a 5 gallon pail a few years ago and don't remember how much it was then.
