Hey! I just thought some of you may be interested. I have never been to one of their shows so I cannot say what it is like. Here is a quoute from the mischief.tv boards

The 2009 Mach V Mega Colossal Meet and Charity car Show will happen on August 1, 2009.

This will be our fourth annual charity event, with proceeds going to benefit BIG BROTHERS / BIG SISTERS of the National Capitol Area. Last year we raised $1600. I'd like to better that this year! Like the last three years, it'll be a car show, with prizes for Best Engine Bay, Best Exterior, and Best of Show, plus a bonus prize for Car We'd Most Like to Own Ourselves. If you don't have a Subaru, there will be classes for other cars, too.

There'll be a voluntary $10 donation to attend. Registration for the car show will be $25 in advance, $45 the day of the show. See the link below for registration info.

Car show setup will be from 9 am to 10 am, with the event beginning at 10 am and lasting until 4pm. The coveted show trophies will be awarded starting at 4pm.

Other attractions: Super special deals on high-performance parts! Paintless dent repair on-site! Free stuff giveaways, including NASA Hyperdrive certificates! Other yet-to-be announced craziness!

The event will be held at Mach V World Headquarters, located at:

45690 Elmwood Court

Sterling, VA 20166

Mach V Dan and Mike the Mechanic are good guys. They do great work, and have done some suspension tuning for me on my MINI Cooper S. Not sure if the crowd is really interested in Lotus. They tend to be the tuner kids, with hopped up Rice-ships. Nonetheless, I am curious to see if Mike and Dan can do any work on the Elise... mainly stuff like alignments, tires, etc.

I have been going to things like this a lot more since I got my Lotus, and my car seems to get the most attention. Most of them even seem to know what it is, but have a crazy idea of what it costs. I love answering their questions and showing off my car. Since I bought the car I have turned into the biggest show off lol. It would be nice to meet other Lotus owners though, I have not met anyone else yet :(
This one I will not be able to make, it is the same day as Copa Nova in Ashburn (jiu jitsu competition)
