Having my barn renovated and a new ramp made.
What is the steepest ramp angle an Elise or Exige can take without rubbing.
I need to advise the contractor.

It depends - do you have a base elise and you weigh little (best clearance) or do you have the lower ride height from the optional suspension and you weigh a lot. When loading my elise, I even found the Difflow diffuser to be the limiting factor, not the front lip.

Because of all the variables, set some weights in the car (or two people), and grab a yardstick. Measure the approach and departure angles, add in some margin, and go from there. If you have the contractor present, he can help and make sure the measurement is something he can work with.

Thanks for the reply

I don't have the car yet so I will plan on worst case.
Need to get the barn done first or the car would have to live outside.

Looking at base Elise SC as the Wife's preference unless I can talk her into an Exige.

Plan ahead for the addition of a splitter. It reduces the angle and these cars need them to protect the front clam.... or possibly create a little down force.
