Christmas Came Early!

Looks like Christmas came early this year! I was in Vegas this weekend and hit a good streak at the blackjack tables. Left the table $60K up, so I essentially won my Elise!

I don't actually plan on paying for the car in cash though as, having a good financing rate for the auto loan, I'm putting all the winnings into investments. Nevertheless, it's a great feeling taking the casino's money!

Damn! I would have left a hefty tip (at the strip club afterwards).

I'm happy with Roulette. I've got a good strategy but never left with more than a few hundred $$$. I couldn't imaging $60k. WOW.

You might be safer with more Blackjack than any investment I know... ;)

Same here. I take about $50 to gamble with, but if I'm up $20 after a few minutes, I walk away happy. I love Vegas for the amazing attractions -- gambling is secondary. (And I hate to lose!)

I would say my average bet at that session went from $500 to $3000 because of the winning streak I hit. The funny thing was I was actually down quite a bit for a while and the evil pit boss kept blatantly trying to get every last cent I had by encouraging me to take out more markers. It felt good to fight my way back up and win. I actually set the mental note of leaving 60K up because of the Elise. But get this, when I was color changing the chips before leaving, the pit boss actually said he would raise the limit for me to place one bet of everything I won. One $60,000.00 bet! I told him he was crazy. They're usually a lot more coy about trying to get their money back. You can be sure I left a good tip for the dealers though. Their attitudes were great the whole time.

That's f**king amazing! I feel like you won some for all of us! Don't forget to pay your taxes if they got your information.

I'd buy the Elise with cash$$! :)

You are insanely lucky. Just remember, Las Vegas was created by losers, not winners.

Free advice - never bet like that again... unless you have money to burn. But even then, donate it to a charity instead!

Of course the dealers were nice to you. They want you to keep gambling! They become nicer and nicer the more money you bet because when you lose, and everyone does because of house odds, then the casino makes lots of money... as usual.

Anyways, many congratulations! But, Don't do it again!

That's your present from Santa this year. Good advice.

That's excellent Balance! I've never had a run like that, but I've been with a friend who has. That's what I like about Vegas, the town is full of energy, some negative but a lot positive. I don't play cards much, but it's fun just hanging out, drinking beers, and watching people bet insanely! :D
