Hello,
So my 89SE started having major power loss, poor idle, and poor throttle response. I’m thinking fuel or spark. Researched the forums and ran some diagnostics, here are the results.

All tests done with the IAC valve unplugged.

Unplugging spark plug wires;
#1 dies, has spark
#2 runs, has spark
#3 runs, has spark
#4 dies, has spark
This tells me the coil packs are good #1 #4 functioning properly, problem is fuel with #2 or #3

NOID light tests
#1 light yes, no run
#2 light yes, run
#3 light no, run (with #2 connected)
#4 light yes, run
With #2 and #3 disconnected I get light on #2 AND #3
This tells me #2 injector is probably bad and dragging down #3

DC resistance test
#1 3.0 ohm
#2 1.5 ohm
#3 3.0 ohm
#4 3.0 ohm
All four a consistent 3 ohms except #2 at 1.5 ohms (smoking gun?)

So I guess I’ll be getting some new ones from fiveomotorsports.com like these

I see those five-o injectors don't have the grove for the clip in them. Its not possible fuel pressure could pop them out of the fuel rail is it?

I could go with the WC Engineering ones for a bit more money. Any opinion on those?

I want to get the "modern" improved spray pattern as long as I'm getting new ones.

Thanks

Nope, the rail is bolted down, they can't pop out. You just won't be able to pull the entire rail out with all injectors attached...

I bought Bosch injectors from Five-O many years ago. They were a different style of injector, but they worked fine.
