You can run different compounds front and rear. It all depends on what you want to achieve. My E39 M5 understeered, so I ran Corsa's on the front and regular tires on the rear.
With Elige, I would go softer on the rear, to the point where wear would be untolerable.
Also, going to wider tires without wider wheels (or the right sized wheels) will actually have a very detrimental effect on traction, especially with race tires.
