Moderately Priced Subwoofer/Amp

Hello,

Well some of you may have seen that my car was backed into :crazyeyes

but it's in perfect hands at Specialty Car Craft. They're working on things and I really want a better sound out of the audio system. I have an amazing double din head unit and decent speakers. All I need is a subwoofer and amp.

Is anyone selling their old system, parting out their car, or have anything lying around that will fit in the Elise?

Thank you!

Mine is not for sale but the Jl box (cp106lg-w3v3) is great and you can get a cheap used amp to power it. Fits on the shelf behind the seats and with the low frequencies cut off the stock speakers (via head unit or in line cut offs), sounds great.
Anyone??...
I have a custom carbon fiber sub box with subwoofer and amp that came with the car I just bought; I'm not going to use it. It's designed to fit behind the driver seat and the sub fires right between the seats. PM me if you want pics, and what you're looking to spend.

I've gotten a bunch of PMs about this enclosure already. I think it's only right to give kenfowler first right to it, and if we can't make a deal I'll open it up to everyone else.

From what I found on the forum, it's the same custom-formed carbon fiber enclosure loaded with the JL sub as pictured in the thread:

The amp I have with it is a Phoenix Gold R500.1. It's a single channel amp that powers the sub only:

I'll post pics if needed.
waiting for information from 88 E5PR1T,

but if anyone else has anything let me know!

Ha, and I thought I was waiting for information from you.

Does your harness bar mean this sub will not work?

I have the pics and can post them here if you want.
go ahead and post em! I'm not sure if it will work. Do you have the harness bar in your car?
No harness bar in my car, stock Elise back there with the exception of some tweeters that the PO added to the side panel. Pics coming up.
it's beautiful haha

I seriously need to find out if this will work with a harness bar or not.

Let me do some quick research and I'll be right back!
I keep reading that it will not work...this sucks!

Will I ever find an audio solution without spending insane amounts of money!?

Thank you though Rob.
No problem, good luck with your search. You may be limited to something in the passenger footwell area. ?
that seems like that may be one of the only options...but geez....>1k for parts and installation seems dumb to me for just a subwoofer.

There's also the chuck risen box that actually engulfs the entire rear portion of the vehicle...but then again, it's ~$600 just for the unit, then you gotta worry about wiring, amps, installation, etc....

Maybe I'm doomed to have a "less than good" stereo system. My double din head unit deserves so much more!
Double din pics? How complicated was that to do?

actually I was blessed to buy a car completely customized by Specialty Car Craft.

It is a tesla dash, that from what I know...aren't made anymore. I got one of the few made
