Re: www.imotorgear.com
They have 3 round, and a total of 7 knobs that are for 'lift-up' (reverse gear)
shifters. I especially liked the aluminum/
leather version in the 'round-ish' design,
mainly because the leather would not
heat up like metal ones when the car is
left in the sun 'topless'. The company
(Imotorgear) is located at:
1040 South Vail Ave., Montebello, Ca.
90640 (near L.A.) Perhaps someone
with an Elise could stop by to see if the
knobs are a simple fit. The aluminum/
leather model is:
SKU: Aluair-R-Shift Knob
Momo - Race Airleather 'Reverse Style'
Priced at $77.16.
P.S. - If you prefer the alum./carbon fiber
version, that one would be:
SKU: RACCBN-R-Shift Knob (also $77.16)

Allan, The bottom knob looks too narrow to accomodate the lock out sleeve. Chris
Sorry, wrong one. Here's the correct "Reverse Style"

And here are a few more that are being advertised as "Reverse Locks." "Reverse shift knobs are for cars with levers on the shifter that you pull up to reverse.*"

Again, I'm not sure if these will work on the Elise. I was hoping someone in SoCal won't mind stopping by to try them on for size.

The 1/2 leather version looks like it might work well in a black touring package car. The aluminum matches the other interior aluminum. And the perforated leather looks like it may match the perforated leather in the center of the touring seats.

I wish Randy would get off his ass....I
mean step on the gas....and drive to
Montebello for an 'in person' evaluation
of these knobs. This will also allow me to
'shake things up' on the site while he's
gone. It will take everyone's mind off the
waiting for their cars when 'all hell breaks
loose' after I submit my 'scorched earth'
postings.

Took a gamble and lost!

I took a gamble and bought this momo knob. I was told that this reverse pull would most likely work in the Elise. It doesn't. I wouldn't reccomend anyone buy a Momo reverse pull knob for their Elise.

Oh, if anyone would like to buy this please drop me an email.

Maybe you can send it to that guy who showed us a custom knob he made for himself. His company's name escapes me but they did stuff for sportscars like Vettes and Vipers. Ask him to re-thread yours, like he did his, to fit the Elise.

Ugh, if this only happened just a little while ago, I would have gladly bought it from you. I already picked one up. :(
