I called my dealer and was told that I have to order the car by this Friday, and that their site has info about the different interiors. When I went there, there are 2 differant interior options for the touring package, One has the entire door panel covered in the matching leather, and the other has only the insert section covered.

Has anyone else heard about this?

there's only one touring interior.

check out the 2005 ordering guide with pics in the main elise forum

if you'll notice the dealership's site, their description for the 2 touring interiors is identical:

Optional Leather Trim 1 (only available as part of Touring Pack)
Center of seat surface and door panel in perforated leather

Optional Leather Trim 2 (only available as part of Touring Pack)
Center of seat surface and door panel in perforated leather

the only thing special about #2 is that it's all black instead of colored.
