Hi folks,

Would like to order multivex mirrors but their site only goes up to 2006 models, has anything changed can I order 06'es?

Thanks in advance!

Go for it.
Done, thank you.
For anyone that is interested (since there were concerns about delays), I ordered the mirrors from Multivex Mirrors - The Most Optically Advancec Vehicle Mirror Systems Ever Developed on Thursday and they arrived Monday.

They are great BTW.
Wow - that is the quickest turn around time I have heard of for them.

So how did you attach them? Did you just follow the instructions and attach with included tape or remove the old mirror?
Just slapped them on after cleaning the original ones, took less than a minute.

Definitely enjoyed the car more today with the extra visibility. Wish I had them at the track last weekend.

You can take some black silicone and fill in the edges. Leave a little gap in the bottom for draining any moisture.

It will look better and cover the unsightly gaps.

+1

That's the best way, just make sure you take the tape off the back 1st. The tape makes the mirrors stick out too far. I just stuck mine in place with a couple of globs of silicone then used black silicone around the perimeter leaving a 1 inch gap at the bottom for drainage.
Multivex should be a mandatory mod on the Exige. I had a couple of close calls with cars in blinds spot before I installed them
Any pictures of the multivex mirrors installed? I have seen already a few, and sorry to say that it was not so nice to see.. I know that we speak here about security, but when it's correctly integrated, it would be better :)
They do stick out slightly but if that bothers then as suggested above easily cured by using silicone instead of the thicker 3m stickers provided.

Use darkSol's method and they look like original equipment (thanks David). Start with post #93.

Geez, I feel like an outcast by not feeling the need for these mirrors.

I do see the advantages they can offer. Hmmmmm....

Maybe its like the eckological HIDs mod where I'll have to sit in a car with this mod to really appreciate it.

If you sit in a car with this mod to really appreciate it, make sure that car is an Exige and not an Elise, which is what is being discussed here.
dissenting opinion, problems judging distance

I have had my Exige for ten months. My wife recently bought me the Multivex mirrors and I installed them a week ago.

My regular mirrors were adjusted precisely, allowing me to see behind my Exige to within nine feet of the rear bumper. I can see people waiting behind me at the light. I can see most of the cars behind me except when they are in my blind spots. These are the spots at the rear 3/4 position. It is easy to determine the distance cars are behind and therefore make safe lane changes.

After installing the mirrors, I have been having difficulty determining how far back cars are behind me. I have gained only slightly in covering the blind spots. I have not gained anything in my ability to see directly behind me.

I am not sure I like the tradeoff. I want to know how far cars are behind me as well as seeing all around. I can see all around by moving my head, doing shoulder checks, and being careful. Things you should do normally. I cannot make up for distance judgment.

I will use the mirrors for a bit longer and see if I can accommodate them.

Michael

PS I know Multivex provided some different curvatures to one of our members in an effort to determine the best fit for our cars. These bend the light differently and make the cars appear narrower at the outer edge of the mirror. I may have preferred a mirror with less curvature....
