:shift: OMG! I just got back from Auto X'n a Lotus Elise for the VERY First Time and it was so much FUN! I was on street tires and it still handled like a champ, which only caused me to start daydreaming of the chance to AutoX it again with racing tires...Holy Moly! The lotus is an AutoX'n machine!
I am so ready for more! Can't wait until tomorrow! :nanner2:

Thanks, again Jacob! You da' man!

...i'm still *ahem* navigationally-challenged on the course...

...we'll see if next weekend i manage not-to-DNF for more than one run - i'm running AD07s on untuned bone-stock suspension, but for the meanwhile, that's the least of my worries...it's still terrific fun, regardless!..

Awesome! What type of tires are you running? Wait till you "fix" the suspension and drop some weight. It gets better

Jacob's car uses double adjustable Penske shocks, BWR front swaybar, competition alignment, and R-888 Toyos. It is pretty well set up.

I've yet to go auto-x.. but I could imagine the course getting confusing, since all you've got to go by are some cones.

Depends on how it is laid out. Some regions also chalk the course to show the path.

But in any case, the skill of reading a course is a separate one and that is something you can get good at. Eventually you only note the important cones.

TODAY...

How'd it go today??
So, so, I guess! A little bit too reactive and not as deliberate as I should be...some difficulty with 2nd gear, and knocking down the same cone the first 3 runs:shrug:...So, my times were: 67 + 1 cone, 68 + 2 cones, 73 + 1 cone, and then my last run was a clean 65 (woot woot)...considering the lows were averaging about 60-62 and Randy getting a 58.3...I feel pretty good, but I want better. I want more :D

Looking forward to El Toro Auto X in a couple weeks...Noble should be really in tip top shape, oh yah, forgot to mention that I didn't have the chance to Auto X the Lotus :( BUt I did get to drive the NOBLE today :coolnana: And certainly not complaining AT ALL ...I so love that car!!!

WOW...I haven't had a lot of experience Auto X'n, but that course made me dizzy! What is up with that cork screw circle thing ...Crazy! I think that would be way annoying...:wallbang:

It's called a cinabon... I actually saw it in one of the AutoX threads here and brought it up to our club. It was the first time we set one up and probably the last time as well... :panic: It definitely puts some wear on the tires and even more wear on your body... The second course was much faster and more fun.. I should be getting some more vid's from a friend in the next couple days that I can post if anyone wants to see them.
