I am in the process of building a new garage (well... having someone building it for me :D ). Last year I moved and the new house had something that poeple may call a garage. Personaly, I think that it is what we call here a "trou à rats".

It was a huge step down from the garage I built myself from scratch at the old house. But now it's time to talk about the real stuff: Demo the "trou à rats" and built a garage as nice or nicer than the one I had. So here I am going to update my project from time to time as the project goes.

Let's start with the intro: The old house's garage, the one I built myself. (yes, I was sooo proud. My first construction!)

Now that is a neat idea, build a garage from the ground up. I could pay someone to build it for me, however I don't have any skills to build it with my own hands. I was lucky to find a new home with a three car garage already done. We are about to add a second rack so we can get four cars in the two car garage. So that will be five cars all together with the one car garage. I will post some photos in a few weeks after it is installed.

My screen must be wacked cause it looks like snot green on this end! -eek-

I have put up a few buildings and other than it being a ton less worth with another person or two helping it's not too bad.

I wish I had the height in my garage to put a lift. I only have 9ft ceiling though. Kinda ok on a little car, but I mainly work on trucks.

You fit 2 cars in that garage? Did you have to drive the first one in and sort of parallel park it to the far wall and then drive in the second car?

Looks big enough to fit 3 if your creative and the cars are small. I've done it in my garage and it's only 24x26. Only can fit 2 trucks though and it's fairly tight since I have all my tools/equipment in there too.

It looks like one of your cars leaked fluid all over your driveway.

Good luck with the rebuild! Looks like it'll be a nice improvement.

That is a very nice garage. I hope mine will be as nice, but just a bit scaled down :)

Yes. The goal was to have a 1 car garage plus some space to store a second one during the winter. I ended up having 2 cars in all year long, so this setup is something I did not want for my new garage. I guess I learned.

Actually, the guy who purchased my old house has 3 cars in that garage: 2 Civics and an old Duster.

Wasn't Autumn Gold only offered in 06 and not many were built in that color?
my car was built in march 2007 as a 2007 model. I may be the last one in autumn gold.
