Some details of my Light Weight audio

The blue tooth receiver - Weight = nada - about what the window switch weighs, Cost ~$20

Tiny 25W x 2 channel amp - weight - way under a pound, cost ~ $17

Not as convenient to change channels on the phone but I usually just listen to the news any way - or the engine.

Audio quality ....like I said I usually listen to the news, plus 80 hair metal does not require really high quality audio 馃挭

Next up need some carbon fiber speakers :) j/k

Its in the trunk on a separate amp. Only weighs 67 pounds. :)

BTW my total weight savings on the above - losing two speakers and the single din head unit ....probably 2 lbs !!! :-(

Change for the sake of change?? But it was a fun project and did not detract from the suspension budget much.

Lol, my Esprit has been missing the driver's front speaker since the day I bought it.

I thought I was just too lazy to bother putting one in, but actually I was cutting weight.

Thanks!

I did something similar with my Elise - hid a 4 channel amp in the dash and replaced the face plate with a blank. Nice work!
