I have a 1/12 scale Lexan body of that car made by Parma in 1980.
It is labeled as "GP5 Lotus"
The full name would be "Lotus Europa Turbo GP5"

Lotus Europa

A German Group 5 turbo Lotus Europa in the late 70's.It used a 1.4 litre turbo Zakspeed engine and the driver was Harald Ertl.

Now I see how the silhouette of the Esprit wedge was derived.
Hadn't looked at it that way, but don't think so. The 'silver car' Esprit prototype debuted in 1972, this car is circa 1979. It basically resembles every other Grp 5 running at the time.

In the bottom picture, if you squint you can see the Europa shape in the roof-line and windows/greenhouse.

I have a couple slot cars of this (and just about every other Lotus)
