They press out...just the ball joint...
need a little help (ball joints)
hey guys, its been a while but im back for some advice.
My 05 elise is making some noise in the front and the local mechanic (who has never worked on a lotus) thinks that my problem is the front ball joints. and he wants me to replace the lower ball joint control arms sooooooooooo does this sound plausable?
if so do i have to replace the whole arms or just the ball joints, and where the hell do i get some?
if its not the arms what might i look at?

What kind of noise? Does it sound like loose bolts with washers? Clunking?
kinda like clunking, i wasn't going to be suppressed if they told me they found a rock up in there

If it turns out you need to replace the ball joints, they are Moog parts to fit a 1987 Chevette, Front Lower suspension. Same part fits all eight positions on the Elise/Exige., and where the hell do i get some?
