My shear panel got slightly bent.
Is there anything I need to know about replacing it?
Can the nylocks be reused?
Do I need any special tools/hardware to replace the panel?

Since the shear panel is structural, should I not jack the car from certain points when its removed such as the quick wheel changing jack point location?

The shear panel bolts look very large.

simple fix

The shear panel is easy to replace. Order a replacement, remove fasteners on the old and install the new. There is a bit of moving the panel around to get it out from under the cables.

As I remember, the cost was minimal, around $60 or so.

I have the old one as a trophy, hanging on my garage wall. A gentle reminder to be careful when you lift the car with a jack that needs maintenance...

I got a quote from Lotus for my bent sheer panel and it was closer to $200... I also went to Lotus Garage and it was $126.60 for the sheer panel.

Where did you purchase yours please? I would like to buy mine there as well.

Thanks for the info!
