Good Afternoon Everyone,

I need your advice. I'm looking into buying a 2008 Lotus Elise California Edition with 11,500miles, yellow. What do you guys considered a fair price for this vehicle? Also, the rear tires are brand new.

Any advice is very appreciated.

Thanks

I personally dont see the fuss and dont get why people sell them for 50k, like the one listed now? I have seen then sell for 40k-ish. Though most 08 SC's go for 40-44 so again I dot think that is fair. There is not really much spectacular about it unless you are a collector. So IMO it worth 37-42 ish depending on miles and what not. I'm sure many will disagree.

a 2005 non-California car would be $32k - $34k imo. I have no idea about the new-fangled ones. But more than that.. I personally give no premium for the California designation, but others may.

Maybe figure +10% over a standard model. Do you want a garage queen/show car, or a driver? I wouldn't pay for a "collector" level car, then drive the thing hard.

You can get a nice solid driver for $30,000 I would guess. Not a 2008 low mile car in mint condition though.

What do you think to pay $45k for a 2008 Lotus Elise Yellow California Edition, 11,600 miles?

Any advice is appreciated.

non SC? I have seen 4 or 5 09's go for 40k this year. I dont think this "California Edition" would be worth 4k.

45k should get you a nice condition 07 Exige-s, thats how I would spend that kinda money.

Aesthetically I think the California Edition is the least attractive Elise. I really don't like the interior treatment, the grills body color, etc.

I'd knock OFF for a California Edition car, personally.
