One of my managers has about 3 or 4 personal folders (.pst) listed in Outlook.

One of them is old and corrupted, and it cannot be closed. This is affecting an add-on from being able to be installed

When we try and close the folder (right click), it spits the following error at us.

I am stumped as hot to remove it or where to possibly find a reference to it in the Windows Registry.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

have you tried to remove the Pst file from the mail properties window?

1. Quit any messaging programs such as Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, or Microsoft Windows Messaging.
2. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
3. Double-click the Mail icon.
4. Click the Show Profiles button.
5. Click the appropriate profile, and then click Properties.
6. Click the Data Files button.
7. Remove PST file in question

Steps may be a little different depending on what version you are using and there are other ways to do remove it, but try that...

Yep, tried that too... doesn't even appear there.

OK... I found a fix.

I just created a NEW profile, re-configured the good .pst folder links, re-configured the the 2 e-mail accounts and imported the rules from the old profile to the new one.

The bad .pst file is no longer listed in the new profile.

Thanks for the input.
